Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

ContractorWebAudit ("we," "us," or "the Service") provides a free online-presence audit for contractors. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain English on purpose.

1. What we collect

Public business data we scan. When you run an audit, we look up publicly available information about the business you enter — such as its Google Business Profile, public reviews and rating, website, and page-performance data from public tools. This information is already public; we simply gather and score it.

Information you provide. To run an audit you enter a first name, business name, and location, and (optionally) a website. If you request a demo or product information, you also provide an email address and phone number, and any notes you choose to add. We treat the details you enter as private.

Automatically collected data. We use privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) to understand site usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) may be recorded for security and reliability.

2. How we use it

3. Who we share it with

We share the contact details you provide with our customer-relationship management (CRM) provider, GoHighLevel (HighLevel, Inc.), which we use to manage follow-up. We also rely on service providers such as Google (Places & PageSpeed Insights, to perform the scan) and Vercel (hosting and analytics). We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your contact details with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

4. How we contact you

If you provide an email address or phone number, you agree that we may contact you about your audit results and the services you requested, by email, phone, or text. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of emails at any time using the unsubscribe link, and you can opt out of calls or texts by telling us to stop (for example, replying STOP to a text). We will honor opt-out requests promptly.

5. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain uses. To make a request, use our contact form and we'll respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

6. Data retention & security

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.

9. Contact

Questions or data requests: please use our contact form.
We operate online only; the email above is the best way to reach us for any privacy request.

This policy is provided as a starting point and is not legal advice. Please have it reviewed by a qualified attorney and add your physical mailing address before relying on it.
